Disease Landscape & Autocomplete API

Two endpoints designed to work together: autocomplete resolves a disease name to a stable CURIE, and the landscape endpoint returns a comprehensive, entity‑resolved report for competitive intelligence.

LLM‑Friendly Summary

Copy a concise, machine‑readable description of both endpoints to paste into your LLM.

Getting Started

Base URLs

https://app.caelrith.com/api/v1/diseases/autocompletehttps://app.caelrith.com/api/v1/analysis/disease-landscape

Authentication

Include your API key in the x-api-key header:

curl -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  "https://app.caelrith.com/api/v1/diseases/autocomplete?q=breast"

Rate Limits

Daily call quotas are enforced per tenant. Both endpoints require a Pro workspace (free tier returns 402 Payment Required).

Free Tier

0 calls / day for both the autocomplete and landscape endpoints. Upgrade to Pro.

Pro Tier

10,000 calls / day for autocomplete

1,000 calls / day for landscape reports

Recommended Workflow

The landscape endpoint works best when you provide a stable CURIE. Use the autocomplete to discover the correct CURIE for a disease name, then call the landscape endpoint with that CURIE. This avoids ambiguity and returns the most complete data.

  1. Call GET /diseases/autocomplete?q=breast cancer to get a list of candidate diseases.
  2. Pick the most relevant result, e.g., EFO:0003767.
  3. Call POST /analysis/disease-landscape with body {"efo_id":"EFO:0003767"}.
  4. Receive the full landscape report with trials, grants, regulatory, and Medicare data.

Endpoints

GET/diseases/autocomplete

Disease Autocomplete (Pro)

Search for disease names and retrieve their official CURIE identifiers. Only diseases with clinical trial data are returned. Requires Pro workspace.

ParameterTypeRequiredDescription
qstringYesPartial disease name to search (e.g., "breast cancer", "alzheimer").

Example Request

curl -H "x-api-key: YOUR_KEY" \
  "https://app.caelrith.com/api/v1/diseases/autocomplete?q=breast cancer"

Example Response

{
  "data": [
    {
      "name": "breast cancer",
      "efo_id": "EFO:0003767"
    },
    {
      "name": "breast carcinoma",
      "efo_id": "MONDO:0004979"
    },
    ...
  ],
  "meta": {
    "query": "breast cancer",
    "returned": 5
  }
}
POST/analysis/disease-landscape

Disease Landscape Report (Pro)

Generate a comprehensive competitive intelligence report for any disease. The response includes clinical trial snapshots, grant funding, regulatory approvals, Medicare drug spending, and a 0–100 competitiveness index. Requires Pro workspace.

ParameterTypeRequiredDescription
diseasestringNoExact disease name to search. Use only if you don’t have the EFO ID. Less precise than efo_id.
efo_idstringNoDisease CURIE (e.g. EFO:0003767). Prefer this if you have it – results are guaranteed. One of disease or efo_id must be provided.

Example Request (using EFO ID from autocomplete)

curl -H "x-api-key: YOUR_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"efo_id":"EFO:0003767"}' \
